Jaipur is a historical city, the people living there are also very good... they help others wholeheartedly. Naira aunty came to Jaipur after her husband's transfer. Her husband's job was about 50 kilometers away from Jaipur. First of all, they looked for a house on rent there and soon they found a house in a posh colony.
The landlord had assigned his son Tarun to help them. On the first day, he had made arrangements for food etc. He was very cheerful. His intentions were very good from the beginning. In a day or two, he had got the house set up.
Tarun's parents actually lived in Jaipur, but two days after aunty shifted here, they went to Canada for the next six months to their elder son. Tarun was probably studying here alone.
After about fifteen days, Naira aunty's house was completely settled. Her two children also got admission in a college in Jaipur. The college was quite far away, her son and daughter used to leave at 8:30 in the morning. Her husband's office was about 50 kms away. He used to leave at 7:30 in the morning. Aunty used to remain completely alone the whole day.
Aunty's husband had told her that Tarun is a good boy, if ever she needs help, she should take his help. Tarun used to stay alone, so many times uncle used to call him for dinner.
One day aunty was alone and the sound of music was coming from Tarun's room downstairs. It was around 11 in the morning. She was having some trouble in changing the gas cylinder. She called and asked Tarun to come upstairs. Tarun came upstairs after two minutes. Aunty told about the problem with the cylinder in the kitchen. Tarun picked up the cylinder like a toy and brought it out, then after checking it a bit, he put it properly in the kitchen. He started to leave after saying bye. Aunty said... Tarun wait, have breakfast before leaving.
He said with some hesitation... No aunty, that's it.
Aunty.. no, sit.. I will bring breakfast.
He sat down.
Aunty brought dosa. He started eating. Aunty seemed very busy in household work. She seemed to be around 46-47 years old. Actually, she was very fit.. full body.. loose salwar kurta.. round face.. long hair.. red lips.. but seemed to be worried about work.
When Tarun was about to leave after breakfast, she asked.. what do you do?
- Yes, I have completed my studies, I am a makeup artist. I do freelancing work. When I don't have work, I stay at home.
Tarun must have been around twenty-five years old. Aunty said... don't worry about breakfast.
- Yes, he said namaste and left.
Two days later, aunty called him again for breakfast and made aloo paratha with her own hands and fed him. Tarun was very impressed with aunty. Tarun had come for breakfast about five times in fifteen days. One day Tarun said... Aunty you seem worried and unhappy... what is the reason??
She said... nothing, just like that... as if she is avoiding the topic.
He said... still tell me what is the matter?
Aunty said... Tarun how did you come to know that I am worried.
Tarun... it seems from your face that you are worried for a long time.
Aunty... what should I say now... she said taking a deep breath.
Tarun... say something aunty... please.
Aunty... will you do anything even after listening?
Tarun... maybe I can do something... please tell me.
Aunty… Tarun the truth is that I have not lived life at all… she kept on speaking… before marriage I kept on working in my parent’s house… after marriage… as if I was made for work only… after marriage I could not feel anything… then I had children… they grew up and I am around 47… life is passing by, I am not living… that’s it…
Tarun said… Aunty see you get only one life… you should live it…
Aunty… I could never wear the clothes of my choice… how can I live life…
Tarun… then start living life now. Morning comes only when you wake up.
Aunty… what do you mean??
Tarun… it means that you can still wear the clothes… of your choice!!
Aunty… what will I wear now… children are at home… I cannot wear anything too fashionable!!
Tarun… Aunty if you mind can I say something?
Aunty...tell me
Tarun...you feel bad that you haven't worn fashionable clothes...but you still feel like wearing them!!
Aunty...I do feel like wearing them but how is that possible now...if I buy them myself then where will I wear them? If I order them online then the kids will be at home...there are many things that I haven't used till date...
Tarun...I have an idea...when the kids and uncle are not at home then you can fulfill your suppressed desires.
Aunty...what do you mean??
Tarun...that means you tell me...I will get them...you wear them when there is no one at home. Take them off and keep them aside in the evening before someone comes.
